Yes, the plan is to release mpich-4.2b1 next week with full support for the upcoming MPI 4.1 specification. All the pull-requests related to MPI 4.1 and need to be merged before the 4.2b1 release is tracked in

<div>mpi4py already wraps the 4.1 stuff and has preliminary tests in place. I would like to keep things in sync.</div>
