[mpich-discuss] mpich 3.0.4 build fails on OS X Mountain lion

Well, assuming that the problem you see is the same as is discussed on
that website, you can:
(1) --disable-shared
(2) use llvm-gcc instead of clang
(3) upgrade to Xcode 4.5.2+
