Agreed, please take a look at my response to Jed (sorry for forking the mail thread, but the context I wanted was lost as the thread progressed).

I don't need to make a case to my management, if there's a bug and we can fix it, we will.  It's all a matter of hitting the right ship vehicle to get that fix out in a timely manner.  If we move relatively quickly we could maybe pull this off in the near term, too, which is nice.

To be honest, I'm just glad to hear of the issue, rather than be ignorant that it occurred, so thank you for copying me!
