[mpich-discuss] Warning message during "make"

Hi Raymond,

That is just a performance warning, but has absolutely no correctness
implications. That comes from the tradeoff of performance vs. space.
Sometimes we choose to pack a structure in spite of memory usage rather
than optimizing access time to all of its fields, as we may consider
that being of more interest.

I hope this answers your question.

Best,
   Antonio
