[mpich-discuss] discuss Digest, Vol 34, Issue 4

1) Please change the subject to something appropriate when responding to
email digests.  I have violated this recommendation here to preserve thread
continuity.
2) Do not post code to the list that does not compile.  Using GCC with
CFLAGS="-std=c99 -Wall -Werror" is recommended.
