[mpich-discuss] Why does hydra_mpi_proxy kill client processes?

I am running NWchem (a quantum chemistry program) in parallel on a 
single host using mpich-3.2.1_6 on FreeBSD 12.1


It runs, but every once in a while hydra_mpi_proxy sends SIGKILL to a 
client process nwchem.


The same task usually succeeds when rerun again, and some other task 
fails with SIGKILL next time, so the problem is sporadic.


Why does hydra_mpi_proxy kill client processes?
