Hi Lisandro,

Yes, the plan is to release mpich-4.2b1 next week with full support for the upcoming MPI 4.1 specification. All the pull-requests related to MPI 4.1 and need to be merged before the 4.2b1 release is tracked in https://github.com/pmodels/mpich/projects/23. If you see anything we miss, please alert us.

Dear Hui,

I need some clarification. You recently bumped MPI_SUBVERSION to 1 to simplify your testing (at the expense of mine, but I'm not complaining).
Are you planning to publish a beta release containing the MPI_SUBVERSION bump before the all new MPI-4.1 stuff is implemented?

PS: I have a minor request. Could you please add "cc @dalcinl" in any upcoming MPICH PR related to MPI-4.1? Or at least add a "MPI-4.1" tag (or whatever name you like) to these PR? .
mpi4py already wraps the 4.1 stuff and has preliminary tests in place. I would like to keep things in sync.

Hi All,

Tomorrow’s MPICH development update call is cancelled due to conflict with MPI forum meeting. We are also delaying the mpich-4.2b1 release to next week. We’ll resume the call next Thursday.

Enjoy your 1 hour free time tomorrow!
