[mpich-discuss] Very long configuration time

Hi YW,

Although 8h looks like a very long time to me, it's likely due to a 
network filesystem. If that's the case, configuring MPICH in a local 
filesystem (e.g. /temp, /tmp, /scratch) should go back to normal times.
